What the Literary Club Literally Means to Me

Introduction

Every classroom in any educational institution consists of a diverse group of students—some are studious, some crack the best jokes, some are sharp thinkers, and some are naturally charismatic. However, there exists a special group of students who are passionate about stories, poems, biographies, and literature in all its forms. Their love for literature is unwavering, yet they are often overshadowed by those excelling in sports, music, or other extracurricular activities. One of the finest ways to understand diverse cultures and histories is through literature.

A person who possesses the ability to weave words in a captivating manner creates a lasting impression on their audience. Language, when spoken beautifully and thoughtfully, has the power to inspire and connect people on a profound level.

The Magic of Literature

My motivation for joining the Literary Club at PIBM was to revive the magic of literature in our everyday lives. Literature serves as a timeless witness to the greatest civilizations and reminds us that humans are not mere machines built to work and survive. We have intellectual and emotional needs, and literature fulfils them by nurturing our minds with enriching thoughts and transforming those thoughts into actionable ideas. Thus, staying connected to the fundamental roots of literature is one of the primary reasons I chose to be a part of the Literary Club.

The Literary Club: A Family

To me, the Literary Club at PIBM is more than just a club—it is a family. Leading this family is our guiding force, Prof. Chittaranjan Kortikar Sir, a man of great vision and immense passion for literature. We are also fortunate to be mentored by Dr. Naresh Babu Sir, who constantly ignites the spark within us, encouraging us to think beyond boundaries, and Dr. R. Priya Ma’am, who inspires us to strive for excellence in all that we do.

These remarkable mentors, along with the unwavering support from every department at PIBM, have played a crucial role in shaping the success of our club. From the grand inauguration to the successful execution of our drawing competition event, none of it would have been possible without the collective efforts of our members and mentors.

Leadership, Teamwork, and Growth

Organizing events has significantly strengthened our leadership skills. The members of the Literary Club exemplify teamwork at its finest, each playing an essential role in the club’s achievements. Being given the opportunity to lead this prestigious club is an honor I deeply cherish.

The Literary Club has provided me with an abundance of opportunities to grow, express, and contribute. It is a platform where literature is not just preserved but celebrated. I am immensely grateful to PIBM for fostering such an environment where students can embrace and uphold the essence of literature within the campus.
