A Creative Journey: My Experience in the Literary Club

Introduction

In the middle of our busy MBA schedules filled with lectures, assignments, and deadlines, I found a space where creativity thrives—the Literary Club. This club has become a special part of my journey, allowing me to explore literature and art in ways I hadn’t imagined before. The club's journey began with a memorable inauguration ceremony. It was an inspiring event attended by dignitaries like the Assistant Director and the Directors of MBA and PGDM and our very own President of the Club Prof. Chittaranjan. They shared their thoughts on how literature can help us grow, not just as students but also as future managers.

Insight from the Experience

Their insights were eye-opening—they spoke about how creativity and storytelling could teach us to think critically, solve problems, and connect with people better. This journey has been even more special as I’ve been appointed to the role of Chief Secretary, giving me the opportunity to contribute to and lead the club’s initiatives.

Our first activity was a freehand art competition during Ganesh Chaturthi. It was a beautiful start, celebrating a festival that holds special significance for many of us. Participants created stunning artwork inspired by Lord Ganesha and the spirit of the festival. What made the event truly unique was the storytelling that followed—every participant explained the meaning behind their art. Some shared their emotional and spiritual connection to Ganesha, while others interpreted the festival’s values, like wisdom and adaptability, in creative ways. For me, the Literary Club isn’t just about activities—it’s about building a community where we can think freely, express ourselves, and learn from each other.

Conclusion

It’s a reminder that creativity and leadership go hand in hand. Through this journey, I’ve realized that literature and art are more than just forms of expression—they’re tools that help us grow as individuals and as professionals. I’m excited about the road ahead and the chance to contribute more as Chief Secretary.
