As We Bid Farewell to 2024: A Literary Reflection

Looking back at the year 2024, standing at the threshold of a new year, there is a whole lot of thankfulness and amazement for all that the year has delivered. This whirlwind of an experience has only been complemented by the enriching experience of being part of the literary club. So when I joined the literary club for the first time, I just had plain, simple reasons: I've always loved words—that is to say, either magic in a tale, or charming poetry, or profound essays and thoughts that may be deeply rooted in reality.

Reflections on 2024 & Joining the Club

The notion of joining people with this same interest was unbearable to resist. I wanted to be part of a community that saw the world through the lens of literature where conversations didn't just skim the surface but delved into the depths of emotions and ideas. What I did not expect was the amount this club would give me. It went from being just a group of people to a family. This is where I learned the art of expression; my voice became confident, and my thoughts, clear. Be it organizing a book reading session, debating the themes of a novel, or participating in writing challenges, every experience shaped me in ways that I did not think possible.

The club did not only hone my skills but also pushed me out of my comfort zone. Standing in front of an audience and reading my work was something I never thought I would do. But here, I felt encouraged, supported, and celebrated. It taught me that literature isn't just about the words on a page—it's about connection, emotion, and shared human experiences.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As I look ahead, I wish for more opportunities for growth and exposure through the club. I wish to explore creative writing workshops, learn from authors who have trodden this path, and maybe even organize events that bring literature enthusiasts from outside campus together.

I hope that our club will always be a place where creativity has no bounds and every member can feel the magic of belonging to something so worthwhile. So, as we bid adieu to 2024, I do so with a full heart and a mind brimming with ideas. The literary club has not only enriched my year but has also become an integral part of my college life. Here's to 2025 and all the stories it holds for us— both written and unwritten.
