PIBM organized its first MICROTOM event on 27th April 2019. This event witnessed the presence of various Corporate Guests, Industry Leaders from the top multinational companies, working at a top management level. MICROTOM is an annual prestigious event where the industry experts share their insights about the challenges faced by SMEs and MSMEs with respect to differentiating their offerings from the established players. This event helped our students to get knowledge of the corporate world and the opportunity to interact with top Industry Leaders.

The topic of discussion was ‘Changing Preferences of New Age Consumers’ in various industries. The panel members shared their valuable insights with PIBM students on some of the topics like changes in the industry practices, the importance of Omnichannel in the business. They also talked about the changes in the decision-makers of this new era, E-commerce, and change in the preferences of the customers, challenges faced in the business which helps our students in getting an insight of the overall business.

The topic of discussion was ‘Innovation: The need of the hour’. The panel members shared their valuable insights with PIBM students on how failure leads to Innovation where PayTm was used as an example. They also talked about how innovative companies solve the problems of many customers and the ‘power of now’. They also discussed various startups and how they are changing the trends of the Modern Era. This event helped PIBM students to get a better understanding of the importance of building, innovating a creative organization.
